perfect day for rosie.

1 comment:

so why would anyone want to roll around in the mud in the rain on a cold day?
    well, no one really does
but if you volunteer for a shoot with photographer JEWEL PEACH
then you better be prepared for just about anything

JEWEL'S special project involves a few other models and lots of
    ROSIE HARDY inspired photographs
everyone should be very excited to see the outcome of this

LAUREN had to wade nearly all the way into a rushing muddy river
and sat around in puddles and balanced on bridge ledges
    and she STILL looks stuning

the lovely photographer and her husband who assisted her all day
his quick reflexes kept JEWEL from sliding right into the river!

and i still have glue on my face
because i forgot the precious antidote
but that's okay, because the mask was worth it.

perfect day for reduction.

No comments:

spent the entire day working on my linocut reduction print
also known as a suicide print
you cut a little, print a color, cut some more, print again, cut some more, etc..
so, there isn't any going back and reprinting. it's much much much too late.
so here are some photos of the process....

cut a border some minor details, printed grey

sharpened my tools
caved a whole lot of detail...
inked my plate
placed it on the press within my grid, and then laid my grey print down
sneaking a peak :D

hooray! it came out GREAT!
although i still have several colors to add.
i reaaallly like some of my classmate's prints
he has a couple more runs to do still as well.
LIZ, carving away

this is her sketch, i can't wait to see what her prints look like
HANNAH'S is gooorgeous
such a great idea
her prints are coming out great so far as well.
